Remembering the Days

Does anyone remember their days of Nancy Drew? I remember not wanting to put them down until I knew the end of the story and thought several times about jumping to the last chapter, but was afraid that I would get caught (go figure). For the longest time, every time that we would go to the library, I would bring up Nancy Drew, but there would be no interest. Well last week, Courtney checked out one and now is hooked. I took this picture of Courtney out on the jungle gym reading one day. I thought it was sweet.

I absolutly LOVE Nancy Drew!! I let my mom get rid of all mine when I was in college and of course regretted it about 10 years later. So I have been slowly collecting the old hardcover oens when I find them. Enjoy them Courtney!

Love the pic! She'll treasure her reads. I, however, have never read a Nancy Drew book, or at least I can't remember if I have.

Jaycie has discovered Nancy Drew, but not the first in the series yet. She's read some of the modern ones (Carolyn Keene is quite the old lady by now - actually I think she's several old ladies / young ladies / men), but she has yet to read the ones I did growing up. I love this pic of Courtney. You must be having great weather!

Megan is hooked on the Nancy Drew books also. Just a tip for Christmas shopping. Sam's has six packs of the books in chronological order for $17.86. Not a bad deal. And, they're hardcover with the old original pictures.
